Radio Jingles Evaluation!

In this evaluation, I will be writing about what I learnt and enjoyed from Radio Jingles, plus how the experience will help me. Also I will outline the different areas and express my thoughts on them.

Firstly I learnt the basics of using the Macs and The audio workstation 'Logic Pro', which was a vital important thing to learn about as this would be what I would be producing jingles and adverts on for that week. I found this interesting working with Logic Pro as it is a professional programme and although it was at first difficult to remember the basics of the workings, after a play around, I found this programme a very fun way of producing and editing products. Also I learnt how to record from different types of microphones and insert them into Logic Pro. I thing learning all this was a vital lesson as I shall be working with this programme over time and will have experience of it already.

I would definitely revisit this project as i thoroughly enjoyed editing and producing products on the Macs with Logic Pro. This has helped me largely by helping me gain skills on both Logic Pro and the Macs themselves. The gained skills and knowledge will help me throughout the next 2 years and also if i go into the radio industry. This has advanced me in this subject so i can improve by the next time i work with Logic Pro.

In conclusion, I found the project, as a whole, very interesting and knowledgeable. I feel that now I've completed this project I will be much more confident if I was to do the Radio Jingles again and would be able to do more with products on Logic Pro as I have experienced the basics already. If I was to redo the project, I would take more time on the product as we didn't have much practical time on the Macs due to technical issues. Also i would experiment more with a variety of plug ins to see what would work with different audio tracks and products as some of the plug ins I added to tracks did not compose well together.
